  so i'm sitting here having coffee and i hear a very distinguishable sound out on my deck.

  i looked out and this is what i saw.

  i know they are around but i've never seen one come so close to the house before!

  This reminds me of something that happened two years ago (a bird story) lol

  My husband and I went on a short trip (about 40 miles round trip) one Sunday morning. We were on the way home and had just came to a small river that was flooded at the time (this was in the early spring).

  He was driving, and I was just listening to music and looking about for signs of spring....

  A big bird caught my attention, he was about thirty feet from the ground, soaring....I looked up and guess what it was???????

  AN AMERICAN BALD EAGLE!!!!!!!!!!

  I screamed OMG and eagle!!!!! and we stopped to watch him as he was "fishing" along the banks of the flooded river.

  Now, that may not sound exciting, but the only ABE I have ever seen was at a zoo. I know that near us there have been attempts to re-introduce the eagles, but that was the first one I have ever seen in the wild....I will never forget it as long as I live!

  Meeting Family after many years

  next week the thirdson family is traveling to thirdson's country of birth.

  we will be attending the wedding of a nephew and will meet nearly all the family at the event.

  this includes two jw siblings and their families who i have not seen in almost 10 years.

  Thirdson,

  Just wanted to wish you well on your trip. I hope that only good prevails for you and yours! I am so very happy that you have a MRS. THIRDSON to support you, and help you out during the wedding and travels.

  The major thing that hurts me so about the jw's is how much they are convinced that they are right about every religious matter, even to the detriment of their precious family.

  Thankfully, the wedding is not to be in a kingdom hall, that would be awful for all of you. At least you will have some joy in the ceromony without the relatives feeling "backed-up" to harrass you.

  Have fun on your trip, and let us know how it turns out, ok?

  Thats an interesting question Corvin. Personally, I think most thought it the big A. I remember seeing a thread (or perhaps it was mentioned in chat) that there were many, many people in the chat area of jwd that day, a record number. Could be because it was such a big news event, but I always wondered if it was fear....

  But what really piqued my curiousity was the reaction of the wt. They must have been hyper-ventilating over the pictures of armeggedon that they couldnt control (out on the net). They do after all reflect the desires of the desires of the gb over the years. Some major political fallout could have occured.

  From what I have gathered, the official statements were of how the bethelites tried to give spiritual assistance to the survivors and rescuers (condemning those who were helping with unimportant matters like water, phones, shelter, and hugs). Not much was said in writing, but right away the wt began to make quiet (ie, verbal) statements at conventions that the big enemy was Islam. As if they didnt share the same end times desire with the terrorists.
